Professional Background:
I’m Christiane Marshall, and I’ve spent my career at the intersection of education and language. For the past four years I’ve taught special education pre-kindergarten students — the majority of whom are on the autism spectrum. That experience has sharpened my ability to think carefully about how curriculum is designed, how learning differences are addressed, and what truly effective early education looks like in practice. Before that, I spent six years teaching English to children in China online, navigating cross-cultural curriculum and the challenge of building lessons that connect across language and distance.
That classroom experience is what makes me different as a writer. When I sit down to write a white paper or case study for an education company, I’m not just a writer trying to learn your world — I already know it. I understand the language of learning standards, the pressures on curriculum directors, and the evidence that education decision-makers actually need to see.
I’ve been writing professionally for over 30 years and hold a BA in Writing along with two Master of Education degrees — one in Curriculum & Instruction and one in Special Education. I care deeply about the work I take on, and I believe the best writing happens when a writer genuinely understands — and respects — the subject matter.
I work with ed-tech companies, curriculum developers, publishers, and education nonprofits who need writing that is research-grounded, clearly argued, and genuinely compelling.
